Netflix launched Into the Southverse, a new collection page for members in India that makes it easier to discover and enjoy a growing range of films and series from across southern India. Built to bring more joy to discovery, Southverse appears on the Netflix homepage and brings together curated collections spanning languages, genres, stars and moods. It is another way Netflix’s product helps members quickly find something they’ll love, whether they know exactly what they want to watch or are ready to discover something new.
The curated collection reflects the range of stories Netflix is bringing to members — from theatrical breakouts including Peddi, Blast, Amaran, Maharaja, Court: State vs A Nobody and Lucky Bhaskar, to Netflix Originals including the recently premiered Pyaar Prema Kalyanam; Made in Korea, the first title from southern India to reach #1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Films list; and Super Subbu, Netflix’s first Telugu Original series. Upcoming titles, including the romantic-comedy series #Love and the much-awaited series Legacy, will add even more genres, stories and distinct creative voices to the mix.

Whether members are looking for a big-screen blockbuster, a romance to settle into, a gripping thriller or the latest film from a favourite star, Southverse brings Netflix’s growing selection of stories from the southern languages together in one easy-to-discover destination.
Great Stories, Made Easier to Discover
Southverse is the new product experience that spotlights Netflix’s growing focus on stories from the region. Alongside this, Netflix recently announced that members can expect an average of one new title every week from across the region’s film industries for the rest of 2026, spanning major post-theatrical releases and Netflix Originals, and reflecting the breadth of established and emerging creative voices.
The appetite for these stories extends well beyond their home markets. Since 2025, Netflix’s India Top 10 Films list has featured at least one film from the region every week. In 2025, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films appeared on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list in 39 out of 52 weeks, while titles from southern India reached Top 10 lists in 59 countries outside India.
Southverse also builds on Netflix’s product experience and curated recommendations to help members discover new stories or some that they already love. Watch Your Favorite Books, for example, brings together films and series adapted from manga, novels, webtoons and other source material, helping members move easily from stories they love reading to stories they might love watching.
With Southverse, the idea is just as simple: bring more great stories from southern India to Netflix, then make it effortless for members to find them.
Southverse is now available to Netflix members in India on the homepage or via search.
