Explore “the Golden City”- Jaisalmer with The Hosteller

Stepping into Jaisalmer, which is tucked away in the Thar Desert, is like entering a fantasy. Every tourist is captivated by Jaisalmer’s enigmatic charm, which is enhanced by the presence of historic structures and golden-hued fortifications that evoke memories of bygone periods. The city’s traditional marketplaces, however, are just as glitzy, offering the finest textiles and furnishings created with the highest level of craftsmanship. Jaisalmer, which is shrouded in historical splendour, is a living mirage.

The Hosteller Jaisalmer is well situated in the centre of the Golden City and is just a short stroll from both the Jaisalmer Fort complex and the well-known Gadisar Lake. An excellent area to spend your time after touring the city and listening to its sounds. With 6 luxurious private rooms, 16 roomy dorms, a delightful library, a large common room filled with indoor activities, and, most importantly, our chic terrace cafe, they are one of the greatest hostels in Jaisalmer. Additionally, they offer other services like laundry, pick-up from the airport or train station, and many local tours in addition to renting bikes for your exploring expeditions. The hostel’s decor is inspired by Jaisalmer’s vibrant culture and tradition.

5 Things You Must Do in Jaisalmer:

Peer Into An Ancient Legend – The Kuldhara ruins are a popular tourist destination. It is said that they have been deserted since a curse was placed on them. However, it is known to be a paranormal hotspot, therefore only the brave may enter.

Tazia Tower-  The Tazia Tower is a landmark in Jaisalmer and was constructed in 1886 by experienced Muslim artisans. This structure, which is meant to resemble a mausoleum, is incredibly beautiful.

The Jaisalmer Fort- The Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage monument, is the city’s main draw. The fort, built in 1156 by King Jaisal, has the old King’s residence as well as temples, stores, and other buildings.

Explore Gadisar – Take a look at the lovely lake that is believed to have once supplied the entire city with water. The lake, which lies just 1.5 kilometers from the Jaisalmer fort, has a number of pavilions and shrines.

Ride Through The Sam Dunes – Travel an hour outside of the city to the Sam Sand Dunes for an amazing camel ride. You may also set up camp there for the night with some preparations!

I made some new acquaintances and told some memorable tales, which I will always treasure.
