Micromax Bharat 5 introduced in India at Rs 5,555, comes with 5MP camera with bokeh mode & 5,000mAh battery

Firming up its 4G product portfolio and expanding its successful Bharat series, Micromax Informatics today announced the launch of Bharat 5, the power packed smartphone, with a 5000mAh battery capacity. Continuing the Micromax legacy, the smartphone would help the Indian consumers to unlock the true potential of 4G and make the experience more affordable and accessible. The new Bharat-5 is a unique proposition to the users, with ‘The power of 5’- 5000 mAh battery, 5MP front and rear cameras, 5.2 inch HD IPS display, Android Nougat at a competitive price point. The new launch is set to accelerate the next phase of smartphone adoption in the country and helping consumers upgrade to quality entry level smartphones.

Micromax has also partnered with Vodafone to provide its Bharat 5 consumers with 50 GB of free data. For any existing or new customer of Vodafone who buys a new Micromax Bharat 5 and a 1GB Data pack will get additional 10 GB Data every month for a total of 5 months.

The announcement comes on the back of success of the Bharat series with Micromax aiming to sell more than 6 million Bharat series smartphones by March 2018. Bharat-5 will also succeed with Bharat-5 plus and Bharat-5 pro in the next 2 months, giving users multiple product options to choose from.

The company recently launched a power packed phone for the first-time internet users- Bharat-1 a 4G feature phone that helps bridge the digital divide and provide users with unlimited calling & data offer from BSNL at an affordable cost of INR 97 every month. Micromax also partnered with Vodafone for the launch for the launch of India’s lowest priced 4G smartphone with Bharat 2 Ultra for just Rs.999/-. The compelling Bharat range also has Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 smartphones which comes with 4G VoLTE, 1.3 GHz Quad core processor, Android Nougat and come with 22 regional languages support.
