HOOQ, one of Asia’s premium video on demand service, today announced the addition of the recently released Hollywood superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming to its extensive list of blockbusters and Hollywood hits under its TVOD section. Fans of Spider-Man can now rent the latest Hollywood blockbuster fresh from theatres line, for just Rs. 59/- (on Android devices) or Rs. 80/- (on iOS devices) exclusively on HOOQ.
This news comes on the back of the recent announcement of HOOQ becoming one of the first player to provide TVOD services in India. This enables the HOOQ customers to rent the latest Hollywood movies within a couple of months of its theatrical release. There will be new movies available every month from top Hollywood studios including Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. ensuring that the customers can enjoy major titles such as Wonder Woman, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them all in the comfort of their home or on any internet connected device of their choice.
The company recently announced its strategic shift to focus only on Hollywood content with offerings from both subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) and transactional video-on-demand (TVOD), allowing customers to access Hollywood blockbusters, hot favourites and top rate US TV series such as Friends, Nikita and Spartacus at a new pricing of INR 89 per month which comes with a 30-day complimentary trial.
